We realize that occasionally you are unable to attend an event for which you have pre-registered. The substitution, cancellation and refund policy below pertains to these issues regarding chapter events.  The Minneapolis St. Paul Chapter IIBA® (referred to as IIBA MSP below) reserves the right to cancel an event at any time.

Substitutions

You can substitute another individual in your place.  Instruct your substitute to ask for your name badge when checking in.  If you paid a certain money amount when you registered, it is your option to ask your substitute to reimburse you directly.  IIBA MSP will not redirect the charges on the original payment transaction received.

If you are unable to attend after having registered and paid a certain monetary amount, you will be refunded the monies you paid for that event with the appropriate notification. Email membership@msp.iiba.org prior to the cut-off date as listed in the schedule below.

FAQ’s

Q: What if I can't attend an event for which I registered and paid?

A: For Chapter Meetings and Certification Study Groups, if you are unable to attend after having registered and paid a certain monetary amount, you will be refunded the monies you paid for that event with the appropriate notification. Email membership@msp.iiba.org 36 hours or more prior to the event

For Professional Development Days, if you determine that you are unable to attend PDD, try to find someone to take your spot, and tell that person to ask for your badge when checking into the event.  If you were registered by someone else in a group registration, it is your responsibility to contact that person about your inability to attend, since that person paid for your ticket.  Refunds will be issued on a case-by-case basis with appropriate notification.  Please email membership@msp.iiba.org 15 days or more prior to the event.

Q: What if IIBA MSP cancels an event for which I registered and paid?

A: IIBA MSP may need to cancel an event such as a chapter meeting due to weather conditions or a last-minute problem with our meeting space.  If IIBA MSP cancels the event, all who purchased a ticket to attend (which required paying for a certain monetary amount) will be refunded the monies paid for that event. Please allow up to 30 days after the event to receive your refund.
